Description: 06/05/1961: A bomb comprising approximately a dozen sticks of dynamite was discovered at the base of a West Kootenay Power and Light Co. hydro pole near Shoreacres. The detonator had exploded but failed to set off the main charge. It was believed that the bomb had been planted the previous weekend. Damage to the pole was estimated at $25.
