Description: 01/04/1962: A building on B.C. Land Settlement Board property which had been used as a boys' club was destroyed by fire. Two Sons of Freedom (SOF) were convicted of arson in connection with the incident. The two maintained that they acted because two prominent SOF leaders told them that it was the only way that they might be able to leave the country. Police testified that the two acted in solidarity with yet another SOF member who was arrested on the morning of the fire in connection with other criminal acts.
