Description: "04/28/1962: During the night the Inland Natural Gas Co. pipe line was damaged by an explosion near Gilpin. The bombers dug down to the eight-inch pipe (four feet underground) before laying their charges. The explosion left a hole six feet wide and four feet deep, and ripped out a 12-foot section of the line, causing damage estimated at $4,679. This attack was the third in 11 days on the company's natural gas distribution system lines."
