Description: "06/07/1962: Around 7 p.m. seven small fires broke out in dormitories of the Nelson Provincial Gaol building, where 66 Sons of Freedom (SOF) were serving sentences or awaiting trial. The fires were started with cardboard boxes and sunflower seed oil. They were quickly extinguished and caused little damage. The prisoners claimed that one of their leaders had ordered the fires, a claim he denied."
