Description: "10/01/1963: A time-bomb damaged one leg of a B.C. Hydro power-line pylon 1.5 miles east of Abbotsford, but did not cause any interruption of power. The explosion damaged one leg of a four leg power pylon which carries a 360,000 volt load from Bridge River to Vancouver. An RCMP investigation noted that the triggering device recovered from the blast site was not characteristic of those used by the Sons of Freedom (SOF). In fact, the perpetrator was a man who, although apparently not a Doukhobor himself, identified with the Doukhobor struggle; he had joined a SOF protest encampment outside the recently constructed prison built to house SOF bombers and arsonists in Agassiz. Some SOF prisoners at Agassiz had launched a hunger strike beginning in July."
