Description: "06/04/1964: A bomb was planted at the base of a Boer War memorial monument (the second explosive found at the monument in four days). The bomb contained ten sticks of dynamite, wrapped in linen and tied up with string. It was discovered after police received an anonymous telephone call around 9:00 a.m. saying an explosive would go off at the monument in ten minutes. The bomb was rendered harmless by prevailing rain. The package contained a ten foot fuse line and a detonator in addition to the dynamite. There was no indication the fuse had been lit."
