Description: "09/01/1964: The home of a St. Leonard alderman, Mario Barone, was damaged shortly before 2:00 a.m., when a time-bomb exploded, sending debris 150 feet through the air. The alderman was a respected member of the Italian community, and a vocal opponent of French-only schools in Quebec. Eight sticks of dynamite, placed in a metal box were used in the attack. The device was tossed into the rock garden in front of the porch. Nobody was injured in the blast, but it caused $5,000 damage."
