Description: "07/01/1965: At 12:25 a.m., the Front de Liberation du Quebec (FLQ) set off a powerful bomb (consisting of nine-ten sticks of dynamite) outside Westmount city hall. The blast destroyed the exterior wall and smashed about eight windows. There was a demonstration earlier that evening (of 30 June) in Parc Lafontaine where separatists clashed with Dominion Day celebrators. Three FLQ members were charged and convicted respecting the explosion."
