Description: "06/03/1966: At 9:55 p.m, a blast shook the Paul Sauve arena during the Provincial Liberal Party election rally, attended by about 5,000 people. Squares of dynamite placed in cigarette packages, with fuses to be activated by the slow burning of a cigarette butt inserted in a folder of matches, exploded in an empty washroom 300 feet from the main platform. It smashed a toilet and blew out the glass on an inside door. A total of $269 damage was done. The bomb was designed more to create a disturbance than it was to cause damage. A member of the Front de Liberation du Quebec (FLQ), who confessed to having been the instigator of the incident, stated that its purpose was to ""sabotage"" the Liberal rally. Three men were convicted and sentenced for this incident."
