Description: "01/01/1972: A 50-stick dynamite time bomb exploded at the Russian Canadians' Hall in Vancouver's east end, two hours after the last guests left a New Year's Eve party at the building. The bomb, which was placed in a projection room, caused considerable damage to the second floor. The non-political Federation of Russian Canadians owned the hall. The hall was primarily used for social and educational gatherings. The explosion resulted in more than $50,000 in damage. There were no injuries."
