Description: "11/25/1983: Four armed men posing as police kidnapped a top supermarket executive after pulling him over with a flashing light while he was driving his daughter to school in Dublin. The girl was released unharmed. The abduction of Don Tidey, English-born vice President of the Weston Group of supermarkets, came three months after an Irish National Liberation Army gang was foiled in its attempt to abduct Tidey's boss, Canadian grocery chain owner Galen Weston. Five men were convicted 11/03/1984 of firearms charges after a shootout with police at the Weston estate. "
