Description: "11/01/2000: Unidentified assailants threw a Molotov cocktail at the window and outer wall of Beth Shalom Synagogue in west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. There were no reported injuries as a result of the attack; however, the synagogue suffered minor damages. A second synagogue in the area, Beth Israel, was firebombed two hours after Beth Shalom. No group claimed responsibility for either attack, but one man was taken into custody for the Beth Shalom incident. Specific motive is unknown; however, there has been an escalation in attacks against Canadian Jewish facilities as tensions increase in the Middle East."
