Description: 04/04/2009: Unidentified militants kidnapped two members of the French Aide Médicale Internationale in the Ed el-Fursan area of southern Darfur in Sudan. One of those kidnapped was a French national and the other was Canadian. Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Ali Yussed stated on 04/06/2009 that the two French and Canadian aid workers kidnapped in Darfur were “in good shape” and explained that every effort was being made secure their release peacefully.
